Welcome to the Orillia Midwives

Since opening our practice in 2010, Orillia Midwives have been providing compassionate, client-centred care to growing families in Orillia and the surrounding communities.

As Registered Midwives we believe that you are the primary decision-maker in your own care. Our role is to offer clear, evidence-based information, take the time to listen, and support you in making choices that are right for you.

We’re excited to share that Orillia Midwives has expanded the care we offer to better meet the needs of our community. You can reach out to us directly for any of the care options listed below. Click on each of the headings to learn more.

Complete Midwifery Care - Our Registered Midwives provide comprehensive care throughout pregnancy, birth, and the first six weeks after your baby is born.

Early Pregnancy Care - If you are less than 20 weeks pregnant and do not have a local primary care provider, we can help!

Early Pregnancy Concerns – If you are less than 14 weeks pregnant and experiencing vaginal bleeding and/or abdominal pain, our team provides timely, compassionate care to help guide you through this challenging time.

Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) Testing – We offer confidential STI testing and treatment options for women/AFAB people and their partners in a safe, respectful environment.

Newborn Care – Do you have a newborn baby but do not have a local primary care provider? We can provide local care for the first 6 weeks of your baby’s life.

Contraception (Birth Control) - Whether you are seeking to prevent pregnancy or manage your reproductive cycle we provide comprehensive contraceptive access. We insert and remove IUDs and Nexplanon implants.

Abortions – We provide medication abortions in early pregnancy and abortion counselling and

referral at any gestation.

Cost: All of our services are completely free, even if you don’t have a health card, and no referral is needed.
